Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that can be placed on a website visitor's hard drive in order to remember something about the user later. They are very commonplace and are used by websites for many different reasons. Without cookies, it would be very difficult for a web site to allow a visitor to fill up a shopping basket or to remember the user's preferences or registration details for a future visit.

Cookies cannot read other information saved on the hard drive. They only contain as much information as the user themselves has disclosed to the website.

Ruth Bridges Jewellery uses cookies which are deemed necessary for the running of the website like those which allow the website to remember what is in a shopper's basket or let a user login to their online account.

You can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance of cookies, or delete cookies that have already been set. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of my website.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics.

Google Analytics is Google’s free web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how their visitors engage with their website. Google Analytics collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. Analytics uses its own set of cookies to track visitor interactions. These cookies are used to store information, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page.

Google Analytics customers can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so they can improve their website and how people find it. A different set of cookies is used for each website, and visitors are not tracked across multiple sites.

To disable this type of cookie, some browsers will indicate when a cookie is being sent and allow you to decline cookies on a case-by-case basis. In addition to declining cookies, you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on in your browser, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting information about your website visits.
